“I know what’s truly important, and I don’t put my dreams on hold” — Anastasiia, a participant in the Ukrainian Red Cross “Reboot” programme

Anastasiia is from Bakhmut, Donetsk region. She had never been involved in entrepreneurship before and had a regular job. After the start of the full-scale invasion, when she was forced to move to Cherkasy, she realised that some things in life are truly important and that she had to act now.

One day, while scrolling through her social media feed, Anastasiia came across information about the “Reboot: Expanding Employment Opportunities” programme, implemented by the Ukrainian Red Cross with the support of the Spanish Red Cross. She decided to give it a try. Anastasiia loves cosy places where people can come for inspiration and warmth. She took part in the programme, received a microgrant, and used the money to open a coffee and flower shop in Cherkasy — a space where everyone can find something special for themselves.

“For me, business is not just a job, but an opportunity to give emotions, create an atmosphere, and make the world around me a little better,” shared Anastasiia.
