Support for those left without heating: The work of a warming centre in Dnipro
Last week, thousands of local residents were left without heating due to an emergency at the Prydniprovska thermal power station.
Volunteers and staff from the Dnipro regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross, along with the Samarskyi district branch and emergency workers from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Dnipro region, responded swiftly to provide assistance. Together, they set up a 24-hour warming centre, providing residents with a safe space to warm up, access drinking water, and receive blankets.
Throughout the week, volunteers assisted internally displaced persons, pensioners, families with children, and people with limited mobility.
Supporting people during emergencies is our priority!
