Start Your Own Business Training was held in Vinnytsia with the participation of representatives from the Ukrainian Red Cross

The training was organised within the framework of the United Nations Development Programme in Ukraine (UNDP Ukraine) and the project “Transformational Recovery for Human Security in Ukraine”, which is being implemented with the support of the Government of Japan.

Over the course of three days, participants gained knowledge and valuable tools for establishing and developing their own businesses. The training programme included:

  • Motivations for entrepreneurship and how to identify business ideas for your own venture
  • Market analysis and how to develop a business plan
  • Sales strategies, and costing of goods and services

One of the participants was Olha Mykoliuk, a social counselling specialist at the Vinnytsia regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross. As part of the training, she also discussed the opportunity to participate in micro-grant support under the Ukrainian Red Cross’s “Reboot: Expanding Employment Opportunities” programme, which is being implemented with the support of the Spanish Red Cross.

“I never thought about whether starting a business was easy. I always believed that having a ‘competitive’ product and knowing who to offer it to was enough. However, participating in the ‘Start Your Own Business’ training completely changed my perspective,” Olha shared her impressions of the training.

Priority for participation in this training was given to internally displaced persons, people with disabilities, war veterans, and their family members. родин.
