The Ukrainian Red Cross Active Longevity Club has been opened in the Cherkasy region

Older adults often experience feelings of loneliness, and during times of war, social isolation is only exacerbated. To support them, teach useful skills, and provide a safe space, the Active Longevity Club has been launched in Zvenyhorodka. The project is being implemented with the support of #BraVo, the Ukrainian Red Cross’s branch and volunteer development, and the Canadian Red Cross.

Both local residents and internally displaced persons can become members of the Club. The first activities are already underway, including soap-making, candle-making, financial literacy training, and Nordic walking. In the future, the Club’s programme will be expanded to include various areas, from outdoor activities and sports to creative meetings and events.

Our goal is to help older adults feel socially active, informed, and supported in difficult times.
