In Zaporizhzhia, Ukrainian Red Cross instructors conducted first aid training for social workers

The purpose of the training was to enhance the skills of professionals who work with vulnerable groups daily, enabling them to provide timely and effective assistance in the event of an emergency.

During the training, participants:

  • Learned the basic principles of first aid.
  • Practised the correct actions to take in cases of unconsciousness, respiratory arrest, bleeding, and suffocation.
  • Learned cardiopulmonary resuscitation techniques, including the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED).
  • Learned how to provide first aid in cases of burns, injuries, and other emergencies.

Social workers are often the first to respond in critical moments, so this knowledge is essential.
