In the Kherson region, a mobile bath and laundry unit of the Ukrainian Red Cross has started operating

As part of the Healthcare Support, Including Long-Term Transformation and Humanitarian Assistance project, supported by the Austrian Red Cross, a mobile bath and laundry unit has been launched in the Kherson region. This crucial initiative provides essential services to people who have lost access to basic amenities, including water, sanitation, and hygiene, due to the ongoing hostilities.

The mobile unit is a specially equipped vehicle designed to reach areas where infrastructure has been damaged due to hostilities or shelling. It includes showers, washing and drying machines, a generator, a water tank, and an air heater, ensuring convenience and comfort for users.

Volunteers from the Kherson regional emergency response team of the Ukrainian Red Cross will operate the unit to provide services to residents in communities across the Kherson region facing water supply issues, helping to meet their basic needs in these challenging conditions.
