The Scouting Volunteer Community has honourably handed over the Peace Light of Bethlehem to the Ukrainian Red Cross

Every year, the Scouting community spreads the Peace Light of Bethlehem, brought from Jerusalem, as a symbol of Christmas. On 17 December, this light was specially delivered and honourably handed over to the Ukrainian Red Cross by the Scouting volunteer organisation, as a gesture of respect and a sign of future fruitful cooperation.

The handover took place at the Ukrainian Red Cross office in Kyiv, with the participation of Mykola Polishchuk, President of the Ukrainian Red Cross.

At the national level, the Scouting volunteer community is a strategic partner of the Ukrainian Red Cross, supporting its key values and principles — equality, charity, and volunteerism — which aim to contribute to the comprehensive development of our country.

This year’s handover of the Peace Light in Ukraine marks the beginning of a fruitful collaboration between the two volunteer organisations.
