Support for Animals in the Sumy Region in Cooperation with HSI Europe

Since the start of the full-scale invasion, the Ukrainian Red Cross, in partnership with the animal welfare organisation HSI Europe, has been providing consistent assistance to animals. This includes helping pets whose owners have fled their homes due to the war, as well as supporting animal shelters.

In the Sumy region, the Ukrainian Red Cross team recently delivered another batch of humanitarian aid to the Sumy Society for the Protection of Animals, including 1.5 tonnes of pet food and antiparasitic drugs for 483 dogs currently sheltered at the facility.

Additionally, volunteers from the Sumy local branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross not only deliver humanitarian aid to shelters but also spend time with the animals, walking and playing with their four-legged friends.
