7-year-old Kira, who was fleeing the war in Kharkiv, received assistance in Krasnogradn.firstname.lastname@example.org
Kira is a seven-year-old girl from Kharkiv. When the shelling of Kharkiv began, she and her mother, Yuliia, had to leave their hometown to escape. The family received help and support from the Krasnohrad district organization of Ukrainian Red Cross.
Little Kira has a talent for drawing. From under pencils and brushes, she has real superheroes and beautiful flowers bloom. Having received soft toys as a gift from volunteers, Kira promised to draw them. And she kept her promise. Now her children’s drawing adorns the walls of Ukrainian Red Cross in Krasnograd.
“Instead of feeling panicked and confused, I want my child to keep her inner light, which motivates, revives and inspires her to creativity,” says Yuliia, Kira’s mother.
Children react very emotionally to the situation in Ukraine. That is why the volunteers of Ukrainian Red Cross are always looking for ways to help comfort the child. Soft toys, colourful pencils, colouring books, constructors and other things — all to keep the childhood going.
